  • Litigator turned operations fanatic. Risk ecosystem caretaker. Agile process champion. Master gardener. Principled advocate. Standards enthusiast. Amateur ecologist. Ethicist. Conscientious leader. Connector. Futurist. Dedicated autodidact. Tech junkie. I believe that we can cultivate generative business solutions that drive growth, mitigate risk and solve some of the world’s biggest challenges. Bridge profit and purpose.

I build bridges. It has always come easily to me – one side of my family scientists/professors/humanists/naturalists – the other side engineers/attorneys/entrepreneurs. Growing up trying to make sense of these vastly different ways of viewing the world created in me the ability to connect disparate ideas, understand complexity and find synergies in unlikely places. This wide aperture helped me be a great trial lawyer, but also allowed me to see the systems and operational problems that caused litigated issues.

  • With a foundation and subsequent degree in Architecture (Building variety,) I have spent most of my career working in one for or another in visual communication. Initially through manual drawing techniques, then a natural progression to CAD, 3D modelling, and now culminating in data science and analysis through to data visualisation, all with the single goal of delivering a common shared view through Graph.

Graph is a mathematical representation of how things are connected, how networks link together, and then using graph algorithms and analytics help us understand how those connections come to be, how they evolve, and what we can infer meaning to. It’s storytelling to bring people on the journey and encouraging them to make active contributions.

  • I specialise in delivery of programmes and projects involving technical complexity and a level of business uncertainty that typically accompanies highly innovative initiatives. Coming from a scientific background, my career has moved to being programme/project manager who is also experienced as an analyst, architect, and change manager, I ensure the business case, project plan and the execution of change are not hampered by a lack of close coordination required by complex, high-risk projects.

Complex project management is a rapidly evolving practice requiring competency across a broad spectrum of topics, many which do not fit within traditional project management. I’m interested in reaching out to absorb knowledge in these areas, share experience, and collaborate on formulating of new theories and refine understandings that help guide complex projects through uncertainty.
